USA Today will launch the Best American Destinations online sweepstakes May 28, with travel prizes provided by Orbitz.com. The sweepstakes coincides with USA Today's expanded travel Web site (E&P, May 26), a redesigned and enhanced one-stop destination for expert travel-planning information, news, advice, apps, and conversation.

In Dalton, Ga., Daily Citizen carriers will begin delivering library books to homebound residents in July, restarting a Northwest Regional Library System service provided by a library van. The independent-contractor carriers are paid on a per-piece basis and will deliver books in the afternoon, not with the morning Daily Citizen

Police Monday charged Bismarck man with carjacking a Bismarck (N.D.) Tribune employee and robbing a convenience store. The 25-year-old is accused of ordering the driver from his car at gunpoint at about 3:45 Saturday morning. About 15 minutes later the driver called police from a gas station, while a clerk at another gas station called in a robbery in progress. The suspect's description in the cases matched.
