For the first time this year, Newspapers Canada will partner with the Canadian Association of Journalists (CAJ), as well as the Ontario Community Newspapers Association (OCNA), the prestigious National Newspaper Awards and the Canadian Circulation Management Association (CCMA) to make a powerful statement about the strength and vitality of Canada's newspaper industry.
Following a sell-out conference in 2011, newspaper executives and industry suppliers won't want to miss this exciting week of educational presentations and workshops, networking events, awards galas and an expanded two-day trade show.
The 2012 conference program covers every aspect of the newspaper business with sessions designed for all departments including editorial, advertising, circulation and management. Renowned industry experts from around the world will inspire delegates with their successful strategies for cross-platform success. Speakers include:
-- Grzegorz Piechota, Senior Editor at Polish newspaper group Gazeta Wyborcza and President of the International Newsmedia Marketing Association (INMA) in Europe. -- Tech guru Saul Hansell, a former New York Times tech reporter and former editor with Huffington Post. -- Clark Gilbert, President and CEO of Deseret News. -- Ryerson University's Tony Berman, a former chief strategic advisor for Al Jazeera English.
