CHAPEL HILL – The Chapel Hill Town Council
recently voted to apologize to the
News & Observer newspaper in
Raleigh and one of its reporters who was arrested and detained by Chapel
Hill police while covering a story in November. In a resolution
introduced by town council member Laurin Easthom at the council meeting
on January 9th, the council voted to extend an apology for the Chapel
Hill Police Department’s actions.
