Having the opportunity to brew a beer with one of Fort Collins’ top breweries is no small task. A lot of big decisions go into the process, perhaps most importantly the style of beer.

With the aid of Odell Brewing Co., we at the Coloradoan are getting closer to creating the perfect beer. Since my last column announced our partnership to brew a beer with Odell in honor of the Coloradoan’s 140th anniversary, a lot has transpired.

Against all odds, we were somehow able to settle on a style for the beer. It will be a white coffee pale ale, thus combining two journalist favorites: coffee and beer.
