Embedded in coverage of the Sandy Hook shooting, which took the lives of 20 children under the age of seven and seven adults, was a large gun ad for a pre-Christmas arms sale.
What's Your Point

While a gun ad embedded in the coverage may seem a bit overboard, one might make the argument that there never was a better time to remind Americans of their 2nd amendment right and duty.
The news media constantly defends its 1st amendment rights to publish stories that aren't always timely due to the nature of the coverage (think pictures at the scene of an accident or the pictures if shooting victims and so forth). This might well be the 2nd amendments version of the same thing.
