JEFFERSON — Several weeks before the Jefferson Review ceased publication, Elizabeth Jones and Susan Williamson began collaborating on how to fill the news gap that would develop after the final edition of the Review was published in late December.

Jones was a reporter for the newspaper, and she volunteers for the Greater Jefferson Community Center. Williamson is the “community connector” for the Jefferson Together! program. The group’s primary focus is drug and alcohol prevention and reducing adolescent problem behavior.
