WWE said this week that a federal complaint filed against it by a Connecticut newspaper is an "abuse" of election laws and should be dismissed.
In May, The Journal Inquirer of Manchester filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commission saying that WWE had violated federal campaign laws by demanding that the newspaper retract statements that Linda McMahon, who once ran the company but is now a Republican candidate for U.S. Senate, made her living "in the business of pornography."
