HARRISBURG, Pa. (February 7, 2013) — The America East Print Quality Contest is one of the premiere print quality contests in the country. Designed to be more than an awards contest, the Contest improves print quality through extensive feedback on black ink laydown, color ink laydown, color registration, halftone quality, page alignment and overall print appearance. All newspaper participants will receive marked newspapers and detailed evaluations from the contest’s five independent judges on-site at the conference.

This year, judges evaluated an entire week’s worth of an entrant’s printed product, providing entrants with a wider range of feedback.
 
Fourteen entries were received in the 2013 contest, including papers from Pennsylvania, Florida, Maryland and more. The Print Quality Awards will be presented Wednesday, April 10, at the America East trade show and conference, held in Hershey, Pa. The Best of Show winner will also be announced during the awards breakfast.
