The Burlington Free Press has received recognition in five different categories of the New England Associated Press Newspaper Editors awards, four times with first-place honors.
The work included photography from coverage of the Vermont National Guard's 2010 deployment in Afghanistan and editorials that helped prompt state government to pass an open records law in the last legislative session in Montpelier.
