Gannett Co. Inc. on Oct. 19 acquired Local Corp.'s advertising company Rovion Inc. and all related assets.
"This transaction enhances our balance sheet and cash flows, while also enabling Gannett's large and sophisticated customer base to use Rovion's powerful rich media platform," Heath Clarke, chairman and CEO of Local, said in a statement.
