The New Haven Register will lay off 105 workers who print the newspaper and handle advertising inserts, as well as some distribution employees, as it outsources its printing to The Hartford Courant.

The workers will be terminated in early- to mid-March, according to a letter the company sent to the state Department of Labor. Employers are required to report layoffs of 50 people or more under federal law.
