Karmen Concannon is the new publisher of the Sentinel-Tribune, becoming the fourth-generation leader of the newspaper.Thomas Haswell, along with his wife, Kathy, has served as the publisher for 33 years.

The Haswells informed the employees of the family-owned newspaper Monday morning that their daughter's position as publisher would become effective immediately.

Reading from a prepared statement, Haswell said, "Today is the day that Kathy and I have looked forward to for a very long time."He then said he was stepping down with Concannon assuming the "responsibilities and authority" of being the publisher.
