The Washington Post Co. reported a 13.6 percent increase in second-quarter profit.
The company announced net income of $51.8 million, or $6.84 a
share, up from $45.6 million, or $5.74 a share, a year earlier. Revenue
for the quarter totaled $1.0 billion, down 5 percent from $1.06 billion
for the second quarter of 2011.
