As the founding C.E.O. and president of POLITICO, Fred Ryan spent the
better part of six years at the helm of a news organization that shook
up the Beltway media scene while upending the dominance of its oldest
and most estimable player—The Washington Post.
Now, as the newly christened publisher of The Washington Post, Ryan may very well bring some fire back in the other direction, though he was diplomatic when asked about the rivalry.
