When Union Pacific steam locomotive 844 rolls out of Denver early Saturday, it will be pulling The Denver Post Cheyenne Frontier Days train on its 21st trip to the "Daddy of 'em All" rodeo and celebrating the railroad's 150th anniversary.

The historic steamer and its crew expect to log a record 14,000 miles and visit 14 states this year in visits to such events as state fairs and for special excursions, said Ed Dickens, Union Pacific Railroad's manager of heritage equipment and facilities.
