In many ways, the University of Florida’s Innovation News Center (INC)
may be preparing its journalism students for a newsroom experience that
scarcely yet exists.
Launched nearly two years ago at a cost of $4.4
million, the center serves as a 24/7 newsroom for local PBS and NPR
affiliates, a separate news/sports/weather television station, an ESPN
radio station as well as rock and country music stations.
