In the digital age, Rich Tarrant is hoping to share with the public how newspapers were created in a bygone era.

A house at 727 Grand St., was once the home of the weekly Vermilion News. Standing near a small closet underneath a staircase in the house, Tarrant described a part of the newspaper’s production process. The closet once functioned as a darkroom where his grandfather would to develop photographs.
