Torrance, Calif.-- Memorial service plans were pending today for former Daily Breeze graphics editor Jeannie Grand, who died Saturday at age 67.

Grand started working at the Daily Breeze in 1979 as a writer and layout designer. She was promoted to graphics editor in 1984 and worked there until the late 1990s. She then taught graphic design at Brooks College in Long Beach, which has since closed.
