Research Triangle, NC –February 21, 2012 – iMedia Revenue Ltd., a company dedicated to delivering the latest advanced editorial and advertising solutions to local newspaper agencies, today announced the launch of a BloggingWriters.com, a new blog offering insight and commentary for publishers on how best to capitalize on changes occurring in an increasingly digital market.

Just as digital technologies have deconstructed decades of old business models, they have presented an array of new opportunities to engage communities and capitalize on human affirmation with news and events. “BloggingWrites.com is a business blog, about the news industry, for the news industry. It focuses on how to take advantage of new and digital media to increase consumer engagement and generate new revenue streams.” states Rich Julius, CEO of iMedia Revenue Ltd. and author of BloggingWrites.com.

“My goal is to improve the state of an industry that is struggling,” says Julius, “an industry that is crucial for any democratic society, and an industry that I have come to love, respect and be a part of. It is vital that we discuss what we need to do to reduce costs, increase inventory, improve operating efficiency, and most important, drive revenue.”

Julius has served on the forefront of digital technology for over 15 years working as a Silicon Valley executive and insider. Moving on to work with small newspaper publishers, he now runs iMedia Revenue. Newspapers have seen their profits erode as advertisers move away from traditional print advertising in favor of online, mobile, and social media options. The purpose of iMedia Revenue is to remake these news outlets into advertising ‘Centers of Excellence’ that embrace both traditional and new media.

With BloggingWrites.com Julius hopes to help point the news industry in the right direction. News outlets have failed to monetize their most valuable assets: content, advertisers, customers, and brand identity, as they moved online. The blog discusses themes of interest to publishers and journalists, including analysis of the state of the news industry and what news outlets can do to succeed in the digital age. Julius will offer practical advice on business and technology matters, from new media publishing to search engine optimization (SEO), as well as digital advertising, mobile publishing, consumer engagement, social media, and news aggregation.

Julius hopes to gather a community around these issues: “I'd love for newspaper publishers, advertising sales staff, and journalists to become guest contributors, to share their experiences and their insights.” He adds, “This is not, as some suggest, an industry in permanent decline. This is an industry that was just slow to adapt, and I predict that we are about to see a renaissance in news publishing driven largely by local news outlets that embrace new media.”
