Arlington Heights, Ill.--The Audit Bureau of Circulations has named Eric T. John vice president of ABC Interactive. He will manage the development of ABCi’s products and services and oversee day-to-day operations, such as auditing and client services. He is also responsible for implementing strategies to promote the ABCi brand and building strategic business relationships with digital publishers, media buyers, technology developers and trade groups.

John joins ABCi as the organization is seeing a marked increase in digital audit activity from both new and traditional media companies. ABCi audits provide independent verification for advertisers, who are increasingly investing in these media platforms. With more than 12 years of digital experience, John has a strong background that ranges from data and analytics to sales and customer relations. He was most recently head of marketing at digital ad network AdKnowledge.

Prior, John held senior-level marketing and product management positions at Nokia, Yahoo! and DoubleClick. ABCi’s multimedia products have been gaining momentum with the adoption of newspaper and magazine Consolidated Media Reports as well as the first standalone mobile audit, the m.Audit, which was recently released for The Orange County (Calif.) Register. John will help expand ABCi’s current offerings and develop new products and services for U.S. and Canadian clients.

He will be based in New York and work closely with ABC’s U.S. and Canadian Digital Advisory Committees as a staff liaison.
