Elizabeth Kennedy has been named South Asia news director at The Associated Press, based in New Delhi. She currently serves as bureau chief of Lebanon and Syria for the organization. In her new role, Kennedy will manage AP’s coverage of India, Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, as well as the Maldives and Bhutan. She has been with the AP since 1999 and served all over the world, including New York and Nairobi, before taking on her current role in 2009.
