“I look forward to this new position and working with the staff at the Telegraph newspapers,” said Schuyler. “This is an exciting step in my career and I will continue to have input into the Interactive Media division as it becomes a bigger part of all our newspapers.”
He replaces Ken Larson, who is retiring. Prior to taking over in Folsom in April 2011, Larson served as general manager of the Desert Entertainer and the Desert Mobile Home News in Palm Desert, Calif. Larson led the two niche publications for six years after serving as publisher of the Sun Advocate, a twice-weekly newspaper in Price, Utah, and the Emery Country Progress in Castle Dale, Utah.
Larson is a 36-year veteran of newspapers, starting in Montana, where he owned the weekly in Havre, Mont. He has worked at other newspapers in the Northwest prior to joining Brehm Communications in 2000 as general manager at News West Publishing in Bullhead City, Ariz.
Schuyler is part of the Inland Press Association’s Executive Program for Innovative change, one of a dozen media executives selected for the year-long elite program.
