Long Beach, Calif.-- The Long Beach Press Telegram has appointed Carolina Garcia as executive editor, replacing Sue Schmitt. Garcia has also been appointed executive editor at the Daily Breeze, based in Torrance, Calif. She replaces Toni Sciacqua, who is now managing editor of digital operations. Garcia will continue in her role as executive editor at The Los Angeles Daily News.
