Steve Fisher will take over as the publisher of Dubuque, Iowa-based TH Media on September 1, replacing Jim Normandin, who will leave at the end of August to become publisher of a daily newspaper in his native New England.

Fisher started in 2001 as the Dubuque Telegraph Herald’s retail advertising manager, and has held several roles at TH Media from June 2001 to April 2009, including its general manager.

“I am thankful for the opportunities [TH Media parent company] Woodward Communications has afforded me during my tenure in Dubuque," said Normandin. "TH Media and Woodward continue to thrive due to its commitment to evolve and adapt to the changing media industry environment. Although I am saddened to leave the company, its incredible culture, and a dynamic community, I have an opportunity to advance my career and grow professionally in a region of the country that I am most familiar with. I owe a debt of gratitude to Woodward for providing me the opportunity to help lead and contribute to the overall success of the company.”

“Jim has been a wonderful mentor to me over the past 10 years, and while I will miss the teamwork we’ve built among various divisions of the company, I congratulate him on this new opportunity,” Fisher said. “I’m thrilled to begin a new chapter in my career at Woodward, and I am grateful to work with such a talented group of people.”
