Sarasota, Fla.--The Herald-Tribune has named Ron Belyea as advertising manager and promoted Pattie Zarfos to digital sales supervisor.

 

In his new managerial and leadership role, Belyea will be responsible for revenue generation of the Sarasota retail advertising team. He is a 25-year newspaper industry veteran who previously served as president and publisher with Village NetMedia, a group of four weekly newspapers and four websites in Rockland, Maine. In addition, Belyea collaborated on developing VillageSoup, a software platform designed to help local media gain revenue.

 

Zarfos previously served as digital marketing consultant with the publication. In her new position, Zarfos will lead digital sales for the Herald-Tribune, including the HeraldTribune.com Web site, niche sites such as TicketSarasota.com and ArtsSarasota.com, online retail advertising, search engine marketing targeting across the Yahoo! network, mobile advertising and more. She is also the advertising coordinator for Your Sarasota magazine and YourSarasota.com.

 

Prior to joining the paper in 2006, she was in the telecommunications industry for nearly a decade working as a major account executive/team leader and a corporate sales trainer.
