David Perlmutter, director of the University of Iowa School of
Journalism and Mass Communication, announced to colleagues on Tuesday
that he’d be stepping down from his position, effective June 30.
Perlmutter recently accepted the position of Dean of the College of
Media & Communication at Texas Tech University. He’ll start at Texas
Tech on July 1 after he ends his duties at the UI on June 30.
