A Boom in Fiscal Cliff Newspaper Ads

Amid tough times for newspaper advertising, the fiscal-cliff talks
are generating a rare boomlet in expensive full-page color spots in
major newspapers. The Washington Post, New York Times and Wall Street
Journal all have one or more full page cliff ads in
Wednesday’s editions, from groups including the Peter G. Peterson
Foundation’s Coalition for Fiscal and National Security, the SEIU union
and Business Roundtable. Washington publications including Politico and
Roll Call are also packed with cliff ads.
