DeSoto Times-Tribune Wins Top Awards in the Better Newspaper Contest

Newspapers from across Mississippi competed in the Better Newspaper Contest sponsored by the Mississippi Press Association.
DeSoto Times-Tribune Community Editor Robert Lee Long placed first in the newspaper's division among statewide entries for his column, "The Long and Short of It," specifically "Death in A Small Southern Town," which detailed the community's response to the death of a beloved teacher, the late Brenda Ballard, which was published on June 26, 2010.
