The Financial Times continued its yearlong 125 anniversary celebration Wednesday night with an exclusive party in Hong Kong, the final in global series that also included New York and London.

Hosted by John Ridding, CEO of the FT Group, the party attracted more than 200 leaders in business, finance, politics, luxury and media who enjoyed special FT 125 commemorative bottles of Moët & Chandon against the stunning backdrop of Victoria Harbour.

The evening’s special guest, John Tsang, GBM, JP (Financial Secretary of the Government of Hong Kong, SAR), delivered congratulatory remarks for the FT, commending it for practising “not just good business journalism, but also good business strategy.”

Other attendees included Chow Chung-kong (chairman, the Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited), Caroline Wilson (British Consul General to Hong Kong and Macao), David Graham (chief regulatory officer, Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited), Christopher Cheng JP, OBE, GBS (chairman, Wing Tai Properties Limited) and Adrian Cheng Chi-Kong (executive director and joint general manager, New World Development Company Limited).

The event coincided with a special 125-themed subscription offer for subscribers in Asia, and copies of the print edition in Hong Kong ran the FT’s original, 125 year-old masthead.
