Former L.A. Times Reporter Craig Stanke Dies at 56

Craig Stanke, the Deputy Managing Editor of CBSSports.com for the past
14 years, was pronounced dead Tuesday morning. Neither the cause
nor exact time of death are known at this time. Stanke was 56.
Stanke died in his sleep after a Memorial Day spent running a 5K event early Monday morning and working in the office until late afternoon. He chatted up friends and co-workers about finishing second in his age group in the race earlier in the day. By all accounts he felt great. But, to the shock, sadness and devastation of those who knew him and worked with him, he never woke up.
