Former Michigan Newspaper Manager James Silbar Dies at Age 71

After finishing college, it wasn’t long before James Silbar was back working in the family business at the Fenton Independent. He went on to become general manager and expand Silbar Publications to four local newspapers. Silbar, 71, died June 11 of lymphoma.
