Former N.Y. Daily News Editor F. Gilman Spencer Dies at 85

F. Gilman Spencer, who was known for his freewheeling style and sharp eye for writing talent as the editor of four newspapers, including The Philadelphia (Penn.) Daily News and The Daily News in New York, died on Friday in Manhattan. He was 85.
