Free 'Financial Times' Trial In Conjunction With Singapore Airlines' In-flight Connectivity Launch

The Financial Times will be offering a free 5-day subscription trial to users of Singapore Airlines’ In-flight Connectivity services, which brings Internet and mobile data services to passengers. The service enables readers to access the latest FT content even when flying at 35,000ft. Valid until the end of December 2012, passengers who purchased a WiFi Internet session onboard will be able to gain a complimentary 5-day access to premium subscription content on FT.com. Following a recent soft launch on a limited number of aircraft, SIA’s In-Flight Connectivity is Travellers can surf the Internet, send and receive emails on smartphones and other electronic devices, and send and receive SMS text messages* with GSM-compatible mobile phones.now available on 14 aircraft in the fleet, including all five Airbus A340-500s which are deployed on the world’s longest non-stop commercial flights, between Singapore and both Newark and Los Angeles in the United States. Services have also been extended to additional markets such as Australia.

Through a partnership with leading connectivity provider OnAir, the technology will be progressively rolled out across all of SIA’s long-haul Airbus A380-800, A340-500 and Boeing 777-300ER aircraft over the next two years.
