Greenfield Town Crier to Stop Publishing

GREENFIELD, MA -- After more than 50 years of providing
weekly news and views for the Greenfield area, the Town Crier is
shutting its doors.
Given the deep history of the publication, the decision was not an easy one for management. However, in an age where more and more print publications are striving to grow an online fan base, it was clear a free, weekly shopper would not translate in that mission. Despite recently re-designing the Crier and launching a website and Facebook page, it was clear the current business model would need an extensive overhaul.
