IBT Media Names New Advisory Board Member

IBT Media, a global media group, comprised of International Business Times, the digital global news publication, online business video portal Bizu.tv and a platform of vertical websites, has announced the addition of Tripod Advisors founder, David Schlesinger, to their advisory board.

Schlesinger joins a board of two additional members including Alexei Milgram, VP, Product Analyses at Collective[i], and Dr. Christopher Young, who provide the media company with counsel and insight on corporate, legal, market opportunities, financial product development, capital strategies and editorial matters.

“Mr. Schlesinger is an outstanding journalist who knows what it takes to build a successful and relevant global editorial operation,” said Etienne Uzac, co-founder and chief executive officer of IBT Media. “As former global Editor-in-Chief of Reuters and Chairman of Thomson Reuters China, he will add tremendous insights and knowledge into IBT Media's editorial strategy, and we are extremely pleased to have him on our board.”

Prior to Collective[i], Milgram was a director of analytics at MediaCom where he oversaw advanced analytics and direct response groups, focusing on assessing the success of marketing and media campaigns. Milgram has also led marketing analytics teams at a number of agencies including Havas, Euro RSCG and Arnold, among others.

Young is a strategy and corporate development executive. He  has spent his career working with online media, financial and medical information and analytics companies, holding a number of executive positions at Thomson Financial, Thomson Reuters and Dow Jones. He has also held various entrepreneurial roles and has advised CEO’s and executives globally on their capital market strategy, funding requirements,company positioning and general management. As former managing director of a mid-market investment bank and having prior experience as vice president of a private equity fund, Young funded many early stage companies and assisted with various mergers and acquisition transactions in the information services and media marketplace. Young is a professor of business and international political economy at Seton Hall University
