Michael J. Connor, the longtime leader of the news team at The Post-Standard and Syracuse.com, is resigning.

Connor, now the vice president of content for the Syracuse Media Group, told his staff that he is leaving the news business after 37 years in Syracuse to pursue his desire to write.
