Main Street Connect Appoints Two New Executive Team Members

Armonk, N.Y.--Main Street Connect, a network of 52 local news sites, has appointed two new members to its executive team: John Londono, as chief operating officer/chief technology officer and Karin Annus as chief content officer.

A serial entrepreneur who successfully launched two tech startups, Londono comes to Main Street Connect from GreenLink Networks, where he was chief technology officer. He previously founded radiusIM, a location-based instant-messaging service, and CallStreet, an earnings call transcription service, which was subsequently sold to FactSet Research Systems. He received an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BSE in bioengineering from the University of Pennsylvania.

Emmy award-winning executive producer Karin Annus comes to Main Street Connect from Thomson Reuters, where she was executive producer of its Reuters Insider multimedia platform for business professionals. She has previous experience as EP and deputy managing editor at Bloomberg TV and director of special programming and planning at CNBC.  She received both an MBA and BA in broadcast journalism from New York University.

Main Street Connect was founded in December 2009 by Carll Tucker, former editor and publisher of Trader Publications, a community news company in Cross River, N.Y. Since launching 10 sites in 2010 in Fairfield County, Conn., Main Street Connect has become a significant news presence in the 52 communities it covers in Fairfield County, Conn.; Westchester County, N.Y.; and Central Massachusetts.
