Michigan Newspaper Wins Records Lawsuit

PETOSKEY — Charlevoix County officials must release a pair of e-mails
previously and wrongfully denied to the Petoskey News-Review under the
Michigan Freedom of Information Act, a judge's written order.
Emmet County Circuit Judge Charles Johnson listened to oral arguments in recent weeks from the county's civil defense attorney Gretchen Olsen, of Petoskey, as well as the newspaper's plaintiff attorney, Robin Luce Herrmann, of Bloomfield Hills. Johnson handed down his ruling on Friday.
