Patriot-News and PennLive.com Will Form PA Media Group

The Patriot-News and Pennlive.com will form one news-gathering and advertising organization — PA Media Group — with the goal of better serving the changing demands of readers and advertisers in this increasingly digital age and secure the long-term future of the organization, said John A. Kirkpatrick, who will become its president.
Under the new company, The Patriot-News will change its print schedule to three days a week beginning in January 2013. At the same time, the organization will intensify its online and digital news-gathering efforts 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
