Post-Dispatch to Lay Off 2 Employees

A copy editor and an electric workstation operator at the St. Louis Post-Dispatch received layoff notifications Monday afternoon.
Shannon Duffy of the United Media Guild said he received a fax from the Post-Dispatch around 4 p.m. Monday notifying the union of the layoffs. Duffy said the employees who were eliminated joined the Post-Dispatch in 1984 and in the 1990s. The postions will be terminated in two weeks, Duffy said.
