Ronald Osborne, the long-time Canadian media and telecom executive who began his career in accounting and presided over a transitional period at an Ontario utility, has died.

The 66-year-old chairman of the Postmedia Network Inc. board, who often went by "Ron," passed away Monday in Florida.
