Moline, IL -
Small Newspaper Group announced today that it will partner with
TownNews.com to host all of its online properties.
The newspaper group will have its Web and mobile products produced on
BLOX CMS, a revolutionary cloud-based content management platform designed specifically for the media publishing industry.
The agreement will allow SNG—publisher of Moline Dispatch, the
Rochester Bulletin, the
Kankakee Daily-Journal and the
Ottawa/Streator Times—to produce content that is seamlessly pushed to users across all web and mobile platforms. BLOX CMS also offers SNG opportunities for income growth via integrated products like BLOX Metering, and other innovative content solutions.
“We believe the TownNews.com BLOX CMS platform will provide SNG with a superior online and mobile platform that will better serve our readers and offer enhanced revenue opportunities,” said Phil Harris, General Manager of Digital Operations at Small Newspaper Group.
SNG’s mobile distribution will be achieved with
Touch 5 for BLOX CMS, an add-on that allows content created for the desktop to display gracefully on an iPad, iPhone, Android phone, or any tablet or smartphone without the need for a dedicated app.
SNG’s first site relaunch is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2012.
