Charles Horton III was named publisher of the
Standard-Examiner in Ogden, Utah and vice president of Ogden Publishing Corp. He will start work in Ogden March 18.

Standard-Examiner. Newspapers have a special responsibility in their communities and I’m proud to help continue the
Standard’s long tradition of service to our readers and advertising clients,” Horton said.
Horton began his newspaper career as a district sales manager at the
Daily News-Miner in Fairbanks, Alaska and has held positions in Oregon, North Carolina and Indiana before arriving at the
Kitsap Sun in Bremerton, Wash. in 2004. He has served as the president and publisher of the
Kitsap Sun since 2009 after having held positions in the
Sun’s circulation, interactive and advertising departments.
