The Goshen News Names New Publisher

Goshen, Ind.--Ron Smith has been named publisher of The Goshen News. He succeeds Jim Kroemer. Smith previously served as publisher of the Washington (Ind.) Times-Herald for the past 11 years.
Smith started his newspaper career as a circulation department district manager of the Tribune-Star in Terre Haute, Ind. and later became circulation director. He took the same position with the Commercial-News in Danville, Ill., where he served until being named publisher of the Times-Herald.
Kroemer had been publisher of the northern Indiana newspaper since 2007. He began his career at The News-Sun of Kendallville, Ind. in 1968.
The Goshen News and the Washington Times-Herald are owned by Community Newspaper Holdings Inc.
