U.K. Journalist Arrested in Bribery Case
LONDON—British police investigating potential cases of journalists
bribing public officials for information arrested a former prison
officer and a journalist at
News Corp.'s
Sun tabloid Thursday, bringing to at least ten the number of
Sun journalists arrested in the probe.
The
arrests deepen News Corp.'s problems in a high-profile scandal
involving illicit reporting tactics in the U.K. While the scandal began
at the company's now-closed
News of the World tabloid, it has since
spread to the
Sun, the biggest-selling newspaper in News Corp.'s stable.
