UK Urged to Reconsider Post-Leveson Media Proposals

New York, April 2, 2013-Britain is a global beacon of press freedom, and any attempt to embed U.K. press regulation in law has far-reaching implications for much of the world. The Committee to Protect Journalists urged Prime Minister David Cameron to take a step back from current proposals, formed in the wake of the Leveson report, which do not take into account the implications for press freedom beyond Fleet Street.
