Complementing existing web presses – including a 24-page Goss Sunday 2000 system – and sheetfed presses with reel-to-sheet capabilities, the four-unit M-600 press, equipped with latest-generation features including Autoplate, automatic ink and folder pre-setting and closed-loop color, has been chosen to ensure minimal makeready times and waste. A GossEcocool drying system with fully integrated chill rolls has also been specified to boost efficiency through increased production speed and to maximize print quality through the elimination of ink picking.

The new M-600 press, which went into production in early November, is specifically designed to deliver high-quality print, vibrancy of color and production efficiencies, according to Pitt. Headley Brothers anticipates the addition of the M-600press will assist the company in serving its client base, which is made up primarily of magazine publishers.
