Sayville, Long Island, October, 2012 – Brainworks Software, the leading provider of newspaper advertising and circulation systems for North America has announced that the Times Publishing Company has selected Brainworks to provide their properties The Erie Times-News and their affiliated digital media company, CyberInk with a fifty-three seat integrated advertising and accounts receivable system. Times Publishing company has contracted for fifty-three user licenses on the new platform.

Times Publishing Company will implement a complete Brainworks integrated advertising and accounts receivable system including classified, retail, preprint and digital advertising as well as web publishing, client web access, data mining, sales force automation, remote client management through a native iPad app, integrated marketing, and interfaces to numerous third party systems. Times Publishing Company will also implement an enhanced analytics reporting system for Business Intelligence (BI).

Rich Forsgren, Chief Technology Officer for the Erie Times-News led the selection committee and said, “Brainworks was identified as the obvious choice in our selection process in selecting the final advertising system partner. The differentials that Brainworks brings the Times-News are an integrated CRM/Sales Force Automation module that will allow for analytics/tracking through the entire sales funnel. Their BI solution will replace our current on-premise BI for budgeting and revenue analysis and reporting. Market gap and revenue analysis and reporting are the foundations for our advertising department’s zero-based budgeting approach. Having it tightly integrated to the core advertising system from the same partner is ideal.”

“The entire Brainworks team is thrilled to be working with the Erie Times-News”, said John Barry, President of Brainworks. “They have a built a top tier organization of amazing professionals at the height of their game.  The selection process was very detailed and thorough – it actually spanned multiple years.  It is an honor to be chosen by such an amazing team, especially considering the extensive and professional level of their research and diligence.”

“I have truly enjoyed working with the folks in Erie through the selection process,” stated Matt Griffith, Business Development Manager for Brainworks. “Their team represents some of the most talented and strategic thinkers in the media industry today."

The installation is scheduled to get underway this quarter and is planned to complete in June of 2013. Brainworks is replacing an ATEX classified Enterprise system and DTI AM advertising/AR system with Brainworks integrated system.
