NEW YORK Benjamin Tucker has been named the new advertising director of The Wayne Independent in Honesdale, Pa. The position puts him in charge of the Independent's Web site, wayneindependent.com, and an affiliated shopper, The Independent Extra.
Tucker will be responsible for managing and training sales representatives, providing customer service, and developing marketing strategies.
A Vermont native who moved to nearby Dyberry, Pa., in 2002, Tucker has worked in the advertising and sales business for more than 25 years. He joined the paper as an advertising sales representative in 2005.
In addition to his work at the paper, Tucker volunteers at Greater Honesdale Partnership events and serves on the Board of Directors for the Bethany Colony Property Owners Association and Honesdale Roots & Rhythm Music & Arts Inc.
