NEW YORK Publishing Group of America (PGA) is reorganizing its sales, marketing and research departments in order to better support multi-media offerings.

"Bringing in people accomplished in selling advertisers' brands across multiple media platforms puts us in position to establish dominance in delivering a critical national mass of local markets via unique print products and new brand extensions in TV, digital media and events," Carol Campbell Boggs, PGA's senior vice president, chief revenue officer, said in a statement.

PGA made the following hires:

* Barbara LaPlaca has joined the company as senior vice president/marketing director. LaPlaca was previously executive director of marketing for Prevention and associate publisher of MORE magazine.

* Kathy Goodman has been named PGA Midwest director. She was most recently Midwest director at Bon Appetit.

* Erica Queen has been appointed as health manager. Previously she served as an account manager at Hallmark magazine

* Paul Mallon is now handling accounts in Detroit. He was most recently Detroit director for Bon Appetit.

PGA has tapped the firm DJG Marketing to handle research.

Several key executives have been reassigned to focus on geographies and categories:

Shannon Hay is now advertising manager.

Amanda Greene has been named business director.

Frank Zier is the Southeast director.

Erica Schultz is Midwest sales director and Leah Viands and Amy Lee serving as Midwest managers.
